Cornerstone PGS was engaged to deliver hydraulic services for the upgrade of Mansfield State High School as part of the Queensland Government’s $235 million Renewing Our Schools program—an initiative focused on revitalising educational infrastructure and creating contemporary learning environments.

Working across both new and refurbished areas, our team delivered carefully considered hydraulic solutions to support a range of modernised facilities. This included the installation of new hot and cold water services, seamlessly integrated with existing infrastructure to ensure long-term reliability and performance.

Sanitary drainage systems were installed to service upgraded amenities and specialist teaching areas, including tailored solutions within the art department to accommodate specific operational requirements such as trade waste and tundish connections. These works were complemented by the installation of passive fire protection to all service penetrations, ensuring full compliance while maintaining the integrity of the building.

Beyond core infrastructure, the project incorporated the installation of drinking stations within open areas, providing practical and accessible hydration points for students throughout the school. Our scope also extended to the detailed fit-off of amenities across student, staff, and accessible spaces, as well as the kitchen area. Existing fixtures within specialist learning environments were carefully managed, stored, and reinstated as part of the staged delivery.

Delivered within a live school environment, the project required a high level of coordination and professionalism to minimise disruption while maintaining program timelines. All works were completed in line with current standards and specifications, including testing, commissioning, and the provision of as-built documentation.

The result is a refined and reliable hydraulic system that supports the long-term performance of the facility while contributing to a modern, high-quality educational environment.
